Continuing Line 1 to Tajrish
The original design for the Tehran Metro was limited to Mirdamad station. However
The expansion to the north of city and rapid growth of population urged Metro experts to design and extension to Tajrish square.
With the policies of City Hall the process has taken a serious pace and the case has been discussed with Mayors of districts 1 and 3, for financing the construction of relevant tunnel and station.
some negotiations with the Government for provision of the needed hard currency is under way, and with the appropriate contribution and help of officials we hopefully would witness the mobilization of the proposed 8 km. route with 7 stations in two phases stated for 2006 and 2008.

| | How does Contact-less Ticket Card do?
You may see different credit cards in your everyday lives.
Ordinary credit cards, bankcards and telephone cards are some of the most common credit cards, which may have different inherent mechanisms.
Some contain a magnetic strip in which the data is stored. These cards are gradually substituted by smart cards, which provide far better security and ease of use. The smart cards include contact and contact-less cards.
The so-called contact smart cards should become in direct contact with reading machines
in order to make read the data, which have been stored into their golden strip memory.
